Brent Council is divided into 21 electoral wards and includes three parliamentary constituencies; Brent Central, Brent North and Hampstead and Kilburn (part). The leader of the council is Ann John OBE and the Chief Executive is Gareth Daniel.

Brent Council provides a diverse range of services to residents, businesses and tourists to the borough and it is tasked with ensuring everyone in the community has access to quality local services.

Brent Council is a key partner within the South Kilburn Partnership. It has a role in providing and supporting;

Although Brent Council provides many services to residents of South Kilburn it also has a key role in the delivery of the South Kilburn Housing Regeneration Project.
