Shool can be a challenging place for any pupil. If there are problems at home, then it can be an even more difficult environment. There are three Family Liaison Officers (FLOs) in the South Kilburn area - one each in Carlton Vale, Kilburn Park and St Mary's schools - whose main purpose is to ensure that each pupil has the right help and support in order to learn. The FLOs enhance and develop links in the relationship between school and home; forge permanent ties between parents and teachers; and ensure that any difficulties are tackled. Each school has a resident FLO and all three FLOs work together.
