Cri Brent Outreach Engagement Team (BOET) works to encourage regular drug users to seek treatment to tackle their addictions. This structured approach to dependence and substance abuse is aimed at supporting individuals in their homes, the community, or wherever they feel most at ease. The service is flexible and responsive to its client’s needs – this means that drug users who are hard to reach and socially excluded are contacted through outreach in the community, treatment centres, police stations, courts and prisons. - Specialist prescribing, needle exchange and harm minimisation through Open Access and Structure Day Programmes
- Prison-based substance misuse programmes, aftercare for those leaving prison and work with Priority Persistent Offenders through the Drug Intervention Programme (DIP); and outreach work with street populations.

Outcomes
- Homeless, alcoholic dependent men have been helped into stable accommodation to access regular treatment
- Young males have been diverted away from a life of crime through successful treatment of their addictions
- Single mothers have been cured of cocaine or alcohol addiction – enabling them to continue to look after their children
- Women have been saved from a life of prostitution and/or domestic violence through positive action against substance misuse
