Noise Nuisance
Often the best way of resolving a noise problem is to politely speak to the person causing the noise, as they may not be aware that they are creating a disturbance, or that it is affecting you.
If this doesn't work then Brent's Noise Nuisance Team may be able to help. You can contact them to report a problem. Your identity will not be disclosed to anyone else.
They will normally contact you, and the premises that is the source of the noise, to find more out about your problem. The first step is usually to advise both on responsibilities, neighbourliness and practical solutions for minimising disturbance. Where necessary, we will take further action to try to stop any disturbance and prevent it happening again.
If persuasion and informal approaches fail, the Council can take formal action to end nuisances. Ultimately, this could include prosecution, fixed penalty notice or seizure or disablement of noise-making equipment, at the noise-maker's expense.
