SKNT will work to generate lasting change for the communities of South Kilburn
The South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust (SKNT) is a local regeneration charity working to bring about lasting change for the communities of South Kilburn and will support the area in becoming 'alive with opportunity'. SKNT will also work in partnership with our residents and key stakeholders by bringing together all the organisations that have a responsibility in the area. It does this by facilitating the South Kilburn Partnership and its themed groups.
SKNT will build on previous regeneration initiatives in South Kilburn and will be:
- a catalyst for additional resources coming into the area to further the regeneration of South Kilburn
- an enabler for the community by promoting creative approaches to achieving better homes, employability and learning, better health, high quality education, community safety, opportunities for families and a sense of identity in the community
- a key supporter in the strategic physical regeneration of South Kilburn in a complimentary role to the Council and Registrered Providers (formerly RSLs) and influence developments to reflect the needs of South Kilburn.
SKNT has the following strategic priorities for 2011/12:
- redevelop and build relationships and partnerships
- work with others to support community engagement and investment initiatives
- work to achieve the objectives set out in the South Kilburn Regeneration Strategy 2025 developed by the South Kilburn Partnership
- work to support neighbourhood coordination across the estate developments as well as the coordination of community investment activities
- start the process of seeking additional resources for the area
- support the progression of the physical regeneration including taking forward opportunities to deliver a leaseholder purchase scheme and continuing negotiations regarding the construction of a health facility in South Kilburn.

The South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust is a Charitable Company that is Limited by Guarantee and can only operate for the benefit of the residents of South Kilburn. It is made up of seven Trustees and has an independent Chair. It meets at least six times each year.
