Do you have the time and energy to make a positive contribution to supporting the regeneration of South Kilburn? If so the South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust would love to hear from you.

The South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust is a regeneration charity with a vision for South Kilburn to be an area ‘alive with opportunity’ no longer branded for its deprivation levels but for its promise, achievement and quality of life.

Our mission is to bring about lasting change for the communities of South Kilburn by supporting and developing initiatives in partnership with other organisations. We work closely with partners in the local authority (Brent Council), local landlords, Police, Health Authority and many others to this end.

Linett Kamala – MA, NPQH, FRSA, FCoT Vice Chair

Kamala is passionate about improving the lives of young people and this has not only been demonstrated through her achievements in the education sector, but also through her involvement in numerous organisations across the private, public and voluntary sectors.  She is a fellow of both the RSA and College of Teachers, as well as being a Chartered London Teacher.

At present Kamala is Acting Head of a Secondary School in Brent.  In addition, she has worked extensively with the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services and is a founding member of Future Leaders, an organisation which trains leaders for urban complex schools.

In the late 1990’s she pioneered one of the UK’s first spray can arts companies ‘Kamala Arts’.  The company brought art, education and the community together through various projects which over the years gave hundreds of young people the opportunity to create artwork alongside professional artists.

Kamala is a South Kilburn resident, member of the South Kilburn Partnership Board and Vice Chair of the South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust.

Peter Brown
Peter's expertise are in social housing, regeneration and public policy.
In the past he has worked in specific neighbourhoods in both Norfolk and London, working with local people and community organisations to plan and deliver physical improvements and to create social change. He has also worked for local authorities and government organisations providing policy advice for regeneration, social housing, diversity and inclusion.

His main focus here is on helping to provide a better service to vulnerable residents, building strong partnerships with other organisations and charities, developing routes for resident and staff volunteering and managing a programme of work to innovate a better service for older residents.
Peter was previously a board member for the South Kilburn Partnership and has lived in South Kiburn since 2005.
